Date of visit 25 Mar 2017. We have been here a few times, but not in the last 5 years. The building, atmosphere and views are amazing even when the wetland is dry. This visit I was particularly taken back by the arrogance of one of the staff members, two of the other staff members were clearly friendlier and working harder to compensate. The ordering of meals and drinks separately was a bit bazaar, I guess there are separate companies providing different services. The kids enjoyed the wedges, the garlic bread was soft with hard crust and easy to eat. The Chicken Assoulet was dry, close to a chicken jerky, as sooooo salty my guest didn't eat it all for the salt and she had false teeth, it was too hard for her to eat. The Lamb kofta, looked tasted and had the same consistency as a Tuna ball, I couldn't taste the lamb, the Okra cous cous was very flavoursome but there wasn't enough wet contents in the dish to bind it to eat it. My international guest that had the barramundi ate it an never said a word about the meal at the end.

Had the most fantastic meal here a couple of days ago. Congratulations to the chefs. The presentation first class and the crab cakes and b b q prawns were AMAZING.

My message to the arrogant staff member is this "Communication is in the message received not the message sent".

Take the time to go for a walk through the conservation area, and then had back for lunch with a glass of wine.

One of my favorite wineries. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of must buy wines, they also have a great conservation program here.
